Remember To ForgetA Poem by tkYou taught me how to love; you taught me how to live; you taught me how to laugh; you taught me how to cry, but when you left, you forgot to teach me how to forget you. It’s two a.m., says the
clock But I’m still awake, reminiscing the past Was meeting you just a sort of luck? Suddenly out of my grasp, not meant to last? I heard you’re doing fine without me You’re with her now, you seem so contented Is taking me for granted just too easy? Now you’re not around, you left me deserted. Whenever I see you, it’s just awkward I can’t talk to you like I used to before I’m the greatest pretender, I deserve an award I’m smiling but deep inside it cuts me to the core. I existed in your life, don’t you recall? I’m probably in those unwritten chapters You remembered to forget me, after all Left me in the dark with my heart shattered. © 2013 tkAuthor's Note
