Phoenix of the Heart

Phoenix of the Heart

A Poem by Tiffany K Charles

In the shadowed valleys where pain did dwell,
A soul once fractured, lost in its shell,
Battles fought in silence, wounds unseen,
A heart weighed down by what might have been.

But through the storm and the darkest night,
A spark ignites, a flicker of light,
Resilient, steadfast, against the tide,
The spirit rises, no longer to hide.

Through the scars, the tears, the bitter ache,
A strength is forged that none can break,
For in the depths of anguish and fear,
The seeds of self-love begin to appear.

Embracing the self with tender grace,
Learning to love in a healing embrace,
The mirror no longer reflects the past,
But a soul reborn, free at last.

Each wound a lesson, each tear a guide,
Leading the way to a love inside,
No longer a victim of sorrow’s claim,
But a victor, embracing a new name.

In the ashes of trauma, a phoenix soars,
A heart once closed now opens doors,
To love others and oneself anew,
A journey of healing, both tried and true.

With every step, a new dawn breaks,
In every breath, a soul awakes,
Stronger, wiser, with love at the core,
A new person, rising to explore.

For in overcoming, a truth is found,
In love, in self, we are unbound,
Transformed by fire, with wings to ascend,
To a life where brokenness finds its end.
