silence

silence

A Poem by Tiffany K Charles

Tell them of greatness, and they will give you immortality. Tell them of sorrow, and they will provide you with comfort. Tell them of pain, and they will make you suffer. Tell them of love, and they will give you contentment. Tell them about you, and they will destroy your identity. Tell them of hunger, and they will starve you. Tell them off tomorrow, and they will sabotage the future. Tell them the truth, and they will silence you. Tell them nothing...... They can't bother you.... Yes. That's it. Say nothing... And you will be free....

Wise... Once I did a week of silent retreat, it did feel like freedom. Although I didn't speak a word that week, I wrote all the time week :)
