Confiding the Girl Within

Oh little girl

Deep inside

His eyes see us

We can not hide

 

Careful little girl

Do not tremble under my skin

He caress our cheek

His loving warmth seeps in

 

Quickly little girl

Hold my hand

He whispers in our ear a song so sweet

Only love could understand

 

Maybe little girl

We could let him in

His fingers slide around our heart

Fluttering its beat within

 

But little girl

What if I am wrong

He now has a strong grip on our heart

Could we survive without his love for long

 

Hush little girl

Please do not whimper so

His promise will hold true

Forever combining our souls

Nicely done and very unique. A young woman talking to the girl within herself about trusting and loving a man, who has a hold on them.
