Time

This hurts to say but I think
Our time is near. We're both ready
To go our separate ways and finally
End what we both thought was something good.

Or so I thought. You never realized 
How much I cared. Never thought 
That I'd be the one to never leave your side. But I was wrong. 

All the things that I thought 
You knew, you didn't even care to 
Realize the time we spent together
Or the days that we laid around all day together

I guess none of it even mattered to you
Because all you were looking for was
Someone to lean on and help you get
Through your summer pain.

I stupidly thought you were my friend
But in the end as time goes by we get farther and farther away and start 
To ignore each other as we once did before we met.

I always wished I could've walked
Away when I met you. The timing 
Was all wrong and so was having
You in my life.
