That loveA Poem by tiyaThere was a praise that won some stares And at the name many withdrew There was the faith no one shares And that love seen by few In my wish to be among them In my hope to be counted In my desire to be their gem That love was never shouted I decided I wouldn’t ever heed The grace and many wonders It’d be easier if I concealed That love in the far corners Day by day it would still stem up Growing deep into my veins Till whispers were no more enough To keep that love in reins My spirit was washed in a flood My heart caught in a flame Couldn’t keep still and instead I shouted aloud His name I sung the praise that won some stares And at the name many withdrew I confessed the faith very few shares With that love rushing anew In my wish to be solely thine In my hope to be counted In my desire to glorify That love will ever be shouted © 2016 tiya |
