 Dare To Live

By T. Pina

When life’s troubles got you down,

And the waters of your daily strife

Makes you feel like you’re going to drown,

Try and reach down inside of your soul

And pull out whatever you got left,

And just dare to live.

Life is so uncertain and tomorrow is not promised at all.

Some days you might find yourself on top of the highest mountain of life or in the depths of a barren valley with nothing left inside you at all.

Believe me, I’ve been both places in my lifetime and it doesn’t take much in life to cause a person to fall.

Life is completely fragile and can be broken by its seams in no time at all

Yet, if it’s one thing I’ve

Learned in all of life’s mess,

Is that blessed is a person,

Who can raise themselves,

from all of their destructive strife.

Also Blessed are those who dare to live

And overcome their hellish struggles in life!

Dare to live,

Despite the destroying

Fires of despair burning in your life.

Dare to live,

And you will overcome it all.

Believe me, if you do you’ll never be the same,

But then after, pass it on as help to others or it all would have been in vain!

 So what ever it takes,

What ever the cost,

Just, dare to live!

PENS FOR PEACE /TJ CALIFORNIA
Actually this is the first poem I ever wrote years ago when I was in one of my to be or not to be moods! To my amazement I just found it in my archives this morning. Now I am no poet , but this is what the voice of truth told me inside my head after a very tough day!
May it help to light the roads of those in despair!

I had to smile as I read all of the comments about it being a 'cliched piece'...funny...there is nothing new under the sun, and yet we still go on about cliche....
From you heart, that is what it was, and if I appreciated nothing else of it (which is not the case, but 'IF' it were), that alone recommends your write.

This piece is encouraging and gets to the point.
You might want to change Bless to blessed in "Also Bless are those who dare to live"
And maybe, "Then, pass it on to help others or it would all be a waste!" where you have:
"Believe me, if you do you'll never be the same, But then after, pass it on as help to others or it would all be a shame!"
Unless you are following a specific form of poetry.
Good job.

This poem is very inspiring. It reflects the thoughts of us who choose to rise every morning and face the day for what it is worth. Life is worth so much more than we always choose to see it for.
Nice poem,
I think you are a great poet and thank-you for sharing!

"Dare to Live."
How powerful. How inspirational.
Who dares to live nowadays?
We need wake up calls like the ones you provide.
Thanks for sharing, truly inspirational!

Hi, Tim! There's so much behind your words....the inspiration is definitely deep-rooted. I read your work and I think of the life behind the work...awe inspiring. You/your art is truly God's handiwork. You know how I feel about God's hand in all things...it's pervasive to all I write and is watermarked in your work as well. Run, Forrest, run! (Write, Tim, write!) Just keep doing what you're doing. People who cross your path will be the better for it.

Dare to live. Words definitly to live by.

Some days you might find yourself on top of the highest mountain of life or in the depths of a barren valley with nothing left inside you at all.

Life is so unpredictable. Very well expressed and uplifting. I'm glad you found this piece.

Eventhough the words were very basic it was still inspirational to read. A very good poem to start a life on.

There it is. :)
Word to the wise.... or should I say..
FROM the wise.

Before I go any further, I just want to say..
Yes, you are a poet. You are what you believe you are..
or believe you aren't.
But you already know that my friend.... :)

This is so full of hope and inspiration! Yes, it is very
easy to be taken down by life... unless one chooses
to fight. Giving up is easy.... but beneficial to whom?
The world won't stop spinning if we give up... it will go
on. Personally, I don't want to get lost and forgotten
in the scuffle and refuse to be controlled by
anything.. including circumstances. We all have the power..
it's there.... within..... to soar, love.. be happy... we just have
to believe .... reach within.... grab it and don't let go...

and then live.

Your words inspire Tim! See, they caused me to go
on another long spiel.... lol

Another outstanding piece my friend! Thank you!
