waiting

waiting

A Poem by Tired

love will make me calm

it will take away the pain

and magnify the pleasure

would satiate my hunger

dear lord

love sitting next to me

holding my hand tight

as we drive into the sun

keeping track of winterblue

beating the wind

and when it yearns

pull into the tall wheat grass

and show me what I've been missing

love, so far away

my heart locked up

my eyes downcast

following me, but I run

yearning for love, and yet

terrified of love

terrified

but love will make

the pain go away
