A Poem by THWebb

By Your Open Hand

In a dream I felt

the sunlight cascade over me,

while the ocean breeze caressed my skin...

Outside the Cafe de Monde

I waited for you,

a man with a face I had not yet seen...

As time went by

the wind carried to me,

a restless feeling to place upon my heart...

In a dream I asked

what was in the sky.

They told me it was change...

just you wait and see,

a metamorphosis in just two days...

I felt my mother there

softly she held me in her arms.

In the morning light

rings my telephone,

your voice traveled from the other end...

In the evening ambiance

while you held my hand,

quietly, ever so slowly was my soul seduced...

In the early morning glow

I sweetly fell in love,

by the gentle holding of my hand, by your open hand...

Century ending/beginning fireworks or just the softest, gentlest touches made with intent... Love is as it finds us...

I like the heart here.
