A Soliloquy

A Soliloquy

A Poem by Zach Gordano
"

Just to say.

"
I cannot push you any longer.
I push so much, until I push you away,
For good.
I cannot convince you that things will be different.
But you will see where you fit in,
That things will set,
And you will complete my picture.
But this is not propaganda.
And seeing is believing.
Hearing lies, blemishing your eyes.
What you see is no longer what you want.
And it is not me that you do no want,
But rather what we have become.
So you don't have to believe anything you hear,
But you will eventually see that what I say
Is the one-hundred percent truth.
In the meantime,
I will do my puzzle.
And I'm filling it in,
Slowly and confusingly,
But it will never be completed without the last piece.
And you,
My love,
The very last piece,
Will fit right into place,
When the time is right.
