Shakespeare Couldn't Write You A Happy Ending

Shakespeare Couldn't Write You A Happy Ending

A Poem by THESt3V

Young Romeo, find a new window
Juliet calls for you no more.
You should have took to heart
What you promised her before.
Oh Romeo, didn’t you know?
It’s too late to apologize.
It’s far too late to change
The look in her eyes.

Are you ever coming home?
He’s been waiting at your door.
Or does Romeo die alone?
Wherefore art thou, Juliet?

Poor Romeo, she isn’t coming back.
The stars were oh so wrong
They told tales of forever
But you were set to fail all along.
No Romeo, the fault is all yours
If only you hadn’t told those lies.
It’s far too late to change
The look in her eyes.

Are you ever coming home?
I’ve been waiting at your door.
