Release

Release

A Poem by THESt3V

 Control yourself

'Cause that makes one of us.

Console yourself,

I'm too busy throwing up

What I once loved

And it all just comes back to you.

There's not enough

Drugs to get me through.

Self-medicated and I hate it

But I'll do what I have to.

I'll do what I have to, to get by

'Cause it keeps me alive.

Watch your tongue.

You don't know what I am.

Hold your tongue.

You don't know what I've become.

I like the play on words (control yourself, console yourself) and repitition of phrases. Good format for the theme. Really make me wonder about the nature of the release (and for whom it is a release).
