Gem trouble

Mason and his team faced many troubles on the way to be stumped by a criminal. Will they have time to save the world ?

 (Present time.). “Hello everybody how are you doing.” I said

“We’re good.” The school said in unison.

“Today I’m going to talk about the E.C, and how John, Kyle, James, and my Grandpa saved the world from the second wave of the E.C or, less gently, world destruction. For those of you who don’t know what E.C is, it is Expression Crisis. Not the emotion expression, the phrase kind like ‘That’s a piece of cake.’ Right, so when I went through my grandpa’s stuff, I found a story saying this:”

I, Mason will save the world! I thought this since I was a kid, I will be exploring the jungle and rid this world from all the problems. In realty I was a normal kid with a normal life, except for the two-word difference that makes any life, no matter what, a crazed and hectic life. Those two words are is Expression Crisis. (I learnt this later) code name E.C. It all started when the first expression was made. The curse was being formed in gem now located in the Brooklyn Museum (Well, kind-of).

I was walking down the street with a map and note that I would check at home when I heard a big band. Running to the sight I overheard someone say:

“…I heard him say it’s all blowing up in my face…”  This would be the first time that an expression was proved to be deadly and this would be in he history books.

“I can’t believe this” I kept saying this to myself at least on hour. The note says:

If your reading this then you must be aware of the of E.C.

The gem is what makes the expressions so deadly rather than a saying.

You most do yourself, no government.

Find it crush it and all will be saved

After the shock I realized that I wanted this since a kid. I came up with a team and started drafting their skills and made their jobs from them. The next day I called them, John: the expert action analyst, Kyle: The expert science, and last is: James, the fighter. I told them they were quiet till the end.

“I’m in, when do we start?” They whispered excitedly.

We started out are journey from California to New York City. Later though…

“This is your captain speaking, we are going to land New Jersey because of some sort of disturbance in New York City”

“Hmm… don’t you think that the gem has something to do with this disturbance?” John whispered.

“Yeah now that you mention it does seem to coincidental.” I said. We agreed to go there and check it out. We landed and took a cab to the tunnel to get In to New York but the tunnel was closed and police cars and pest control were going to New York. We took a privet boat but when we got their, people were running around with dogs and cats chasing them.

At first I stood there confused then I busted out laughing like it was a prank but then someone yelled it was raining cats and dogs.

We interrogated someone who said “I was walking to Starbucks when suddenly the rain stopped, and I hear barking above. I look up and it’s raining cats and dogs.”

The Brooklyn Museum was closed so we took a hotel next to it.

‘” That’s weird.” John mused “You would think that the E.C Gem would protect itself.”

“Mabey the Gem has no consciousness or subconsciousness.” Replied Kyle.

My observation was that each day the expressions were more and more frequent as time went by. We went in the museum with no hardships but we went to the spot where it should be, but it wasn’t there. We searched and searched and found nothing but hopelessness and artifacts.

(Back to present). “Though we thought hope was lost we didn’t give up and we started to look for clues. (back to story) We kept on looking and looking until:

“James, Mason, john!” Kyle yelled “I found a recent foot print.” John said that he or she was in a hurry to leave.

“Well now we are in a hurry.” I said already following the trail.

The trail led to a warehouse. Inside we walked wandered around. We were right there and…

Bam followed by a laugh but we don’t know who it was because we had sacks on our heads. When we saw him, we were in a crate with four rifle armed guards.

“Hahahahaa Jokes on you, hehe, I was behind you from the begging, in the explosion I was the one Interrogating that man which you over heard. The note was being sent to me from my hired scientist, that fell out so when I went to get it I saw the back of the not signed with my scientist signature when you picked it up. On the plane and I eves dropped on you and I wanted to keep the chaos, so I stole the gem. I hid it and set up a trap to capture you. I want to initiate wave 2 to end the world.” James was taking his pocket knife and cutting through the strings once he did he did he jumped up and rotated 360  , that hit him in the lower jaw. I noticed the old Nasties symbol, but I didn’t think much of it. Our captor sprawled on the floor. James almost growled “The bad guy lives if-”

“MEIN NAME IST ALEXANDER*” yelled the bad guy. 

Continuing, he looked at us mockingly and to the guards with a wicked smile. “lass sie gehen, da können sie jetzt nichts mehr tun.” The guards untied us and let us go.

 By the time we came out it was too late, and Wave 2 started. I crushed the gem, but the world was mostly destroyed. Any tall buildings collapsed, and the world was like a waste land. Sadly enough, like in any Marvel movie New York was demolished. When the twin towers fell Citizens of New York grieved, now its as if every building was like the twin towers when they fell. But much, much worse. People were forced to live under buildings and any shelter.

That was when I saw exactly what Alexander wanted to do. He wanted chaos so that all the government were weak. Then he would crush the gem and take over countries. HE had the same goal as many powerful countries had, world domination.

(Back to present)

“You know this era as the rebirth of the world. The world was rebuilt on the old one but many global problems were solved along with it, like smoke emission which slowed down global warming .”

 “They then looked forward and started to rebuild. Even till today reconstructions are happening no one looks back and stops, instead they come back stronger.”

“Thanks for paying attention to me during this assembly, unlike my childhood, and be alert or aware of your surrounding it may save your life.
