Poseidon's Fury

Connor stared forward through the eyes of his mech, the Poseidon's Fury. A kaiju stood before him. It was different to the others. Its skin was rocky and jagged, spires of rock-like bone bursting from its back. The kaiju's eyes glowed a bright orange. Cracks in its stony carapace leaked orange liquid that fell to the ground and melted through the sand.

It dawned to him.

This one had entered the realm of humans through land rather than the sea. It was bone-dry, after all. Not to mention the fact that they were in the middle of a desert. 

Mid-thought, another thing hit him. Literally.

He heard metal screech and he turned around, his mecha's hand becoming a large sword. He looked at the two beasts. They were almost identical. He swung forward and whipped his blade arm to the side.

Craggy fingers fell from one of the kaiju.
