Is That Too Much To Ask?A Poem by Terrence Chang
Suffering and struggling all that is left
Upon the intoxication that I duly rest To this day I was breathing in smoke And the needles was touching my vains You don't know the pain of real solitude To the path which I am forced to walk You all say ''Get Over With It !'' Without knowing the actual reasons I am the lab rat of a subject called 'Depression' As doctor were only feeding my physical body With Antidepressant to the spoilt adolescence Neither meds nor intoxicating drugs gave the cure No matter where I went or who I met I have always celebrated alone Drinking in silence with the four walls Waiting for someone to knock the door I truly wish to have a companion To abolish the wailing heart and despaired mind Who will truly understand my feelings And give a warm shoulder to rest Is That Too Much To Ask? © 2016 Terrence ChangAuthor's Note
