An Ode to William ShakespeareA Poem by Terrence ChangA tribute to the man named William Shakespeare
William Shakespeare
You are not born to shake Or hold the spear So you chose a pen in your hand And wrote whatever came out, Out of your glands You used a pun And I got stunned The words you play Are boldest to say You are never to forget But hard to get From Tempest to Macbeth Always left me sway The respect that you built Is a tower of creativity Of no ones ability Whether it was a warning from a soothsayer Or the tragedy of King Lear William Shakespeare What a man of excellence Who told many stories with brilliance © 2014 Terrence ChangAuthor's Note
