What literature means to me.

Literature
You are like a wine to me
That is aged in a book
The words that you play
Gives me a high right away
As I touch the words to my lips
The joy of reading such tips
It make me dance right to my hips
You make me float in the sky
A vision left into my eye
From port to champagne
You leave me intoxicated all the time
But as it comes to an end
I close the book
Waiting for you to mature again
So that I can drink you again

A good book never goes sour or leaves a bad taste in the mouth. A great book can make us giddy with excitement and unable to put it down. I like the wine literature metaphor Terrence its a cool thought.

I loved it from the beginning. The metaphors are wonderful. DO YOU KNOW HOW GOOD THIS IS? The rhyming is excellent, but from the wine, to the wanting, to the words that you play...dancing...I love the vision in my eye...and the ending. Waiting for you to mature again. I loved it! Thank you.
