This poem is a thought provoking poem, where the speaker(Jesus) is reminding a young woman who fell in hard times that his love is everlasting no matter how much she runs.Enjoy.

Truly I Tell You…

I still love you although I’m filled with grief
And when you put things before me I feel rejected
I call to you Monday thru Saturday and you ignore me,
and on Sunday morning you act like you adore me.

But I still love you…

You follow your “friends” when my hands should be guiding you
And you make hasty decisions that are not right for you

But I still love you…

I want you to see
But you’re blinded by flesh
To my tender love and kindness
In which will always give you rest

In trouble times most people will step back and collapses to their knees
But no not you, for a savior there’s no need

But I still love you…

Let’s fast forward to your golden years, on your death bed consumed in fear
Although the narrow pathway has come and gone, you’re reminded of your grandma’s favorite church song,
“will He remember me, will He remember me, will He remember me”.

Then I whispered softly in your ear
Perfect love cast out fear
And remind you of when you were young
Cleansed with my blood and sealed till my return
In peace you close your eyes and to your surprise
You see, I have never left your side

Truly I tell you, I love you
