Painful Relief

Creative block therapy. just writing

Dear sadness, anger, misery

why is it that only you move me

my thoughts are dead without you

and it seems that happiness just wont do

I often need your aggressive push

please step in, turn my whole life to mush

so my creative juices begin to flow

and my artistic nature will suddenly grow

into a song, picture or poetic line

where i can hide my true self with pathetic signs

while the end to me seems oh so near

and to my audience it all becomes so clear

that the real me has yet to be unlocked

I beg you bad feelings

relieve me of my writer's block

Wow so true! You know I'm glad we feel different emotions. I like to visit places of sadness, longing, question things. Great poem.
