Winter Is Love

Winter Is Love

A Poem by Andrainea Silverlite

Snow
Glistening white
Like diamond dust scattered all around

White
Purely innocent
Like the down of an angel's wings

Cold
Frigid existence
Like the dark depths of the sea

Love
Completely beholden
Like a two young lovers under a full moon

This is what winter means to me
With all its simple simplicity
How it brings such joy to my heart
And warmth to my hearth
Yet, many do not see
What so fascinates me
They keep walking by
And not even try
To see the beauty in it all
Instead, they keep walking, caring, not at all
