I look out at the stars
The sparking twilight of -- the glittering sky I wonder many things Mysteries -- of untold truths I see the lone shooting star I ponder the path -- in which it took ---- deep out into the dark, glittering sky I sigh softly into the wind While the sweet sounds -- of the birds lull me to sleep Dreams of nightly things come Of monsters -- and gallant Knights ---- who slay the dark beasts I awaken to the dawn The soft pale light -- fills my room with joy I stretch as I yawn I hear the sweet sounds -- of the morning birds ---- sweetly tweeting their tunes in the trees I know this will be a great day Full of surprises -- and little secrets I give a final farewell To the night -- that once was ---- and say hello to the dawn that is © 2010 Andrainea Silverlite |
