Tattoo

A Poem by C.T. Bailey

Ivory teeth trace

patterns of vermillion passion.

Her gentle bites across

my almond chest stain the flesh

with crimson ink,

leaving evidence of probing lips.

Reflecting in her cobalt eyes,

a red-orange glow of firelight

illuminates a white hot

touch of obsession.

She seals the canvas

with searing breaths

and guides pearl needles

to other masterpieces

not yet inked.

Wow, I still don't want a tatoo. But, my son just got one, and now I believe that I understand a little more the reason behind it. Wonderful imagery and yes i agree about the making love suggestion.

Thank you for your insight

I finally got around to searching you out. I have a new profile as my old one is inaccesible.
Beautiful work as ever...
Your word choice is impeccable. One can see those eyes, that room, those emotions.

Hi Todd,

An interesting piece, compairing getting a tattoo to an act of love making: "...gentle bites / across my almond chest...". Very nice.

Greatly enjoyed.

Best regards,

Rick
