ConflictA Chapter by T.A. KnightThe first chapter in my special even fanfiction for the Team ASIA page. please forgive me if references to past events seem out of place it was intended for existing fans of the page.Life at the Team Asia headquarters had become somewhat dull after the fall of Mythos. When the hacker was destroyed, the admins fell into a rut of day to day activities, ranging from maintaining the page, to watching anime, to playing League of Legends.
Logos and Pathos were sitting alone in the computer hub, Pathos was posting a series of photos and memes for the spam. Logos was competing in a game of League. “Where is everybody?” asked Pathos over the sound of clicks from their respective keyboards.
“Hmm?” muttered Logos, not taking his eyes off his screen. “Oh…uhh, I think Ethos is editing a new video for his youtube…ummm jojo and Jake are…ummm where the hell are they?...anyway I think Launchpad is in his room praying, or meditating or whatever…come on…come on! YES!” he punched the air as the “Victory” insignia flashed onto the screen. He finally turned to face Pathos.
“And Knight, and Herald of Prophecy?” asked Pathos.
“Actually, I think they’re in the combat room,” replied Logos.
“Again? Why?” asked Pathos, astonished.
“Well you know Knight. Ever since the Mythos crisis, he’s been keeping his fighting skills sharp, ‘just in case’. I think Herald just humors him,”
“I suppose Knight does need more practice,” said Pathos thoughtfully. “He hasn’t quite mastered it yet has he?”
“You mean the Keyblade?” ---
In the training room, Herald of Prophecy and Knight squared off once again. Knight was covered in cuts and bruises, inflicted by Herald’s twin blades, while Herald himself was almost untouched.
“You really want to do this again?” Herald asked.
“Of course!... I need…to get better!” Knight said panting.
“Ever since you got that thing, you’ve gotten all the more stubborn!” commented Herald.
“But my stubborn diligence and dedication will only make me stronger!”
“No, it’ll only make you dead from over exertion.” Said Herald plainly. Just then Logos and Pathos walked in. They saw that Herald and Knight were about to spar again, and took a seat on the side benches. As they approached the benches, they saw that jojo and Jake the Snake were watching already.
“How long have they been at this?” Logos asked them.
“’bout an hour or so?” guessed jojo. Pathos sighed.
“He’s a maniac…” he said shaking his head.
Knight dashed forward, it looked as if the time for talking was over, and the match had begun. Knight took a swing at Herald, who easily parried the attack, as if it were nothing. Knight recoiled, but quickly regained his footing, going in for another attack. Once again, Herald blocked him and used his other sword to cut Knight again. Blood began streaming down Knight’s arm.
“Why would Herald suddenly cut so deep!?” asked Logos.
“Cure!” yelled Knight, thrusting his keyblade into the air. Green leaves appeared over the tip of the key, and floated down to his skin, when they made contact, the deep cut became small, and the blood dried up. It looked like every other cut on his body.
“oh…” said Logos.
“Fire!” cried Knight pointing his Keyblade at Herald. A fireball erupted from the sword and went streaming for Herald. However, right before it made contact, Herald teleported and appeared right behind Knight. Herald took a swing at Knight, but this time Knight blocked, and repulsed Herald with a burst of light.
“That’s new!” said Herald with a smile.
“Yeah, I’m still trying to figure out all these new powers…” admitted Knight.
“Remember! Magic can be flowed through your attacks!”
“Easier said than done!”
Knight made another Dash for Herald, and struck out with a fury of blows, however Herald managed to either block or dodge most of them. The final blow of the combo hit him square in the chest. Herald was thrown back, and Knight took the opportunity to go in for more attacks, for once it seemed as if Knight had the upper hand, but then Herald teleported and used the hilt of his sword to hit Knight in the back.
Knight was sent sprawling to the floor. Herald had won, once again.
“You did better that time, you actually managed to get some hits in!” he said extending his hand to help Knight up. Knight grabbed his hand, hoisting himself up.
“Still not good enough…” he muttered.
“But better! You were able to use the light to your advantage for a moment, and you’re improving with your magic,”
“again?”
“No! You’re done for today!” said Herald sternly.
“What about you guys?” asked Knight looking at the other admins. Herald gave them all a death glare.
However Pathos didn’t seem to notice.
“YEAH OK! FIGHT ME KNIGHT! RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW!” he yelled out.
“LET’S GO BOSS MAN!” Knight replied just as boisterously. “I’LL WIPE THE FLOOR WITH YOUR A*S!” Herald grabbed Knight’s ear, and twisted it painfully.
“No!” he said in an authoritative voice.
“WHYYYYY!?” whined Knight.
“Because you’re my b***h and I said ‘no’!” he said twisting Knight’s ear again.
“Ahh! Fine!” said Knight finally conceding. Herald let go of Knight’s ear. “Jesus…” muttered Knight, rubbing his ear.
“Do not take The Lord’s name in vain!” came a voice from behind them. They all turned to see Launchpad enter the combat room.
“sorry…” said Knight meekly. As he said this a faint beeping sound could be heard coming from Pathos’ phone. He checked it.
“We…have a message? It says we all need to see it urgently.” He said. “well, we’re all here…”
“Not all of us,” said Logos. “Ethos is still off editing, and I think Prisma is still off in the woods,” Prisma lived in the HQ just like all the other admins, but he and his rock golem companion would spend enormous amounts of time out in the surrounding woodlands hunting and gathering food.
“I’ll get Ethos,” said Herald teleporting out of the room. Pathos got out his communicator.
“Prisma, it’s Pathos, come back to HQ we have just received a message we all need to be present for,”
“Good timing, I’m in the lobby, just got back. I’ll meet you all in the computer hub!” came Prisma’s voice through the communicator.
“Well then, let’s see what this is all about!” said Pathos. They all migrated to the computer hub, and gathered around the big monitor n the wall, separate from all the smaller monitors around the room.
The message simply read off a skype user name and the instructions to call the person. They all agreed they might as well. So they logged into skype and called the user name. On the other end, there was a man in a business suit, looking like he was calling from some big corporation.
“Who’re you?” asked Ethos.
