Winter & Spring

Pretending spring hadn't noticed, the weather hardened;

enough light hours will savour strictly, to warrant cover

begrudged by winter's deluge alas it has been pardoned

because of you, the light ease in which smoothing over

let's go of, warmth is much surrounding mulch, to lead

enough long hours to say, love takes heed who dote on

saying much about you, your whole well being, indeed

brings joy for nothing, it is natures ask to prolong upon,

already becoming a sun's assistant as this master maker

bastes in a glory, which given shade to, you'll suffer not

for all the work you put in it smothers weeds, the lot.

Summer & Autumn

Patiently, one could ask, how this is you can do so much

egging on without compass to track all hope and wishes,

blood was thicker, thorns take hold, as take hold as such

belief as in surroundings, tightly held in vigor to swishes

lashed together, 'that be us', as how neatly fond wrapped

elation is, how inwardly starting from scratch to mention,

snatch fair maiden, this haven you've prepared we adapt

best to the conditions you'd bring, leaving that attention,

almost without menace, that who will answer, it is to say

by autumn, the mature way, in which all transition gives

yet another good account of self worth is what then lives.
