The French GardenA Poem by TitusI have very wealthy tenants to look after. An Egyptian Lady here has a small terrace which I’ve written about. Feminine Verse.
Dedicated to a well known lovely Lady, - London
"I sip some wine and imagine that I am truly in France." Location - A secret location in London The Hydrangeas speak, Feminine Verse Distinctively there are dreams waiting in that chair, What abundance my dear sweet-hearted hydrangea, Balanced in a niche, with sheer romantic tales to air Turning heads, they speak, among themselves here. Pertaining to French exquisite styles, the larger hats Are beautifully made, they kind of grow, as a façade Forgetting where we are, and we French bureaucrats Of modest means most certainly using the sunshade. Overlooking privets have this unique vantage point, Accept this as a clear understanding that we women Shall be left alone, although for ladies nights anoint A certain ambience, horizons hang its sacred omen. It is well known that small is wonderful, this garden Beyond the door, those dreams of ours, to succeed In this heat? You must be joking, I beg your pardon As shade lovers, we must not worship a single need. While the best of everything, as in those small places As the privileged few, we must appreciate this small And evocative part of London a part of me embraces It’s somewhere private, somewhere that I do enthral. The chair I recall, it separates our topic conversation The scholar, who for reasons known to them, is fair To share equally, the other plants, simply a donation Part of a magnificent French connection to compare. Not some city, I can well imagine, a wealth of luxury A small realm East of France, as far as advantageous It wise doctrine to think a small place O so motherly Brumath, occupies a site of the Roman Brocomagus. Just one of many places, we the keepers of the secrets Needless the wait, not to haste, though not to get lost Many books I’ve read, are about my having no regrets, Few friends, a life of wine is paradise my prize reposte. © 2018 TitusAuthor's Note
