Deutzia Scabra - Sleepy Eyed

Deutzia Scabra - Sleepy Eyed

A Poem by Titus
"

Understanding the plant as a metaphor

"

Whose stir, could impolitely gain to peep

unopened on, to tend this fluffed up cloth

you'll widen eyes like softly gauze asleep,

when arguably more learn'ed nodding off.

Each flutter would elope like cotton buds

attached to what can briskly say than do

who stands to loaf around as formal suds,

are barely witness warm, absorbing dew.

Should' opened fully, since it is now May,

and show off what this summer will enact

on spring, there's understanding of delay,

 a tentative procurement, seasons stacked.

Within no time at all when autumn's come

splints comprise to dryness, eyes succumb.
