I've always felt the first step is to realize that we are wearing glasses, all of us, all different, and to take into awareness how our glasses, those filters, alter what we see, or what we 'think' we see. The world becomes a creation of our mind, building images from idea and ignoring the reality that 'it is what it is' and what we think about it is something else entirely. T, this is another very introspective piece. Thanks for sharing. :-)
Whether people wear glasses or not, they often choose to see what they want to see, not what is actually right in front of their noses!
Enlightenment comes with trying different lens, different points of view, different experiences, and I think you're saying just that in this fine, fine post.
But I think it's time to tell her
to get out of her shelter
and buy new glasses..........
Many people wear a form of transitional lens as they go through life, allowing the lenses to change passively as they will and not necessarily realizing that their vision is affected as such. They do not realize that they do not have to look at life so passively, that they can simply put on a different pair, and view life in a new way. It is like going from an old prescription, where things have become blurry either as the prescription is now too strong or too weak. With new glasses, you can see clearly again... nicely done.
Excellent lesson to be learned here, there is more out there then the eye can see if you just believe... I think it's time i get new glasses as well... a great write that makes you ponder life's great journey.

I really enjoyed this piece. It is always better to get out in the world and make all new memories, instead of just sitting back and dwelling solely in those past miseries.
Sometimes people don't want to see the truth
I say we all should face the truth, then and only then
we know were we stand and can move forward with life
Well penned as always
