RAPTOR

RAPTOR

A Poem by T
"

restored writing

"

Watchful eyes
and hooked beak
sharp talons
upon her feet

Hunting sense
now aware
complete intent
in her stare

Tapered wings
ready for flight
held at bay
meal in sight

Beauty and cruelty
do combine
this raptors world
throughout time

Such is the chain
you may say
be glad that you
are not her prey

Appreciate her beauty
her speed of flight
Honor her glory
her wonder, her right,

Beware...........

I've always loved raptors, and this poem creates enough suspense that you can picture one hiding just out of sight. Good work.

A great descriptive piece. Always loved the raptors. Although if I were the prey that sentiment would not be so. Good work.

It's scary when you tell a beautiful girl that she's ugly. She might not take it easy and she could see you that you're number one public enemy. If I had to lie to a girl and say she's beautiful, I would to save me from the consequences. :|

I love the rhyming in this poem.

Wow! Sounds like this woman I saw in a sports bar the other evening. Man, was she on the prowl!

With all those negative images of danger, to end on "appreciate" is cool.

Thanks for the read.
