one in six billion.

one in six billion.

A Poem by T. Alexandra
"

This is how I am, how I always want to be. Yet, this is not only about me. My wish is that everyone see themselves in this light.

"
Allow me to present my thoughts.
And forgive me for lacking the words to clearly portray them.
I am only one in six billion.
Just one in six billion.
In fact, we all are.
And though I am just one in six billion.
I am the only one six-billionth that is me.
So the other five billion,
Nine hundred, ninety nine million,
Nine hundred, ninety nine thousand,
Nine hundred, and ninety nine in this world.
They can choose to see me.
As just one in six billion.
But I know myself as more.
I am a one.
An only one.
A someone.
I want to live life with this in mind.
I vow to never let anyone make me feel like a one in six billion.
If that makes any sense at all.
And if it doesn't.
Oh well, it makes sense to me.
