Sweet

Sweet

A Poem by What happened to simple old me?

Marked by words, I'd be torn by your look instantaneously

Where by, I asked you to set me free

from a internal imprisonment

It has me completely, a chemical level

of insult and strain,

Of perception demanding dignity

to trail left,

if that were many years before.

You'd have me captivated,

down to my last bones.
