A Poem by What happened to simple old me?

You ask to go on, captivating me from the free fall that I so wish for, forward on. You're my detriment, causing an unconventional, un-used to pain. The dwindling thumbs of

an insomniac, I'd yell five thousand times over at you to let me loose. You tower stronger, over my feelings and thoughts. A mason shaping my blade, spitting splinters vast and wondering why - She kept them far off until you came, her platinum wrath taking lives without so much as a look.

Interesting.....it hurts...like, seriously hurts, but there's this tone like "I know what's going on here enough to brace for such impact". Then, in the midst of all this adult language, I see an inner child aching to understand why this is all happening. But, with the turmoil and pain, I imagane a stone face as calm as the surface of a deep lake on a windless day. I like it. It's layered and feathered to where each fold covers the next. Your a pretty complex dude. "Simple old [you]" must be on vacation. Be well.

. oh, i think this is an absolutely exquisite piece of poetry ... even though i know ... from experience ... that this is a painful emotion to experience ... and i do have a crazy observation to add ... we think sometimes that we're not the ones who are letting go ... but the truth is someone else is not letting go of us ... even though there might be no "apparent or obvious" sort of evidence to substantiate it ... communication happens at various levels ... not just in words ... or so i think ...
