Street's light

Street's light

A Poem by What happened to simple old me?

Take my link,

I was caused to walk another way.

Sideways, as if upside down.

There, skipped, were hours. We three shook hands,

though at different times. On separate occassions, we did so.

A couple of laughs, and a warm drunken settling, on a not too

chilly evening, as the rain damply drew.

The ball rolled off the table, and to a tune

we wandered home.
