Autumn

Autumn

A Poem by What happened to simple old me?

she changes like the weather, a perfect frosted spring, sunlit morning turned
to evening alongside summer's melted stream. Rescue her, a heavenly save to
her needs - the pear tree dropping apples, defying gravity like romance, where no
cliché takes over the time in this town. You always talk of understanding, her you did
when no one else could unveil thick ivory, laced and silk, only drowning glimpses. She caught your breath between her teeth, and then again last night.

playing things against things, phrases against phrases, hammering a glowing image out of contradictory prose and making it beautiful. Cool stuff....
