Daddy

Daddy

A Poem by What happened to simple old me?

throw me out into the desert,
let harsh sand burn beautiful
and sunlight boil my skin, as freckles turn to black, and ash flakes fall
like snow from the lava-red orange sky. flames tear through, pulling, controlling
tornadoes of grains, scraping the whites of eyes.
Away they bleed from veins of truth, of a today and a yesterday.
Only you let them.
