Fade to Black

Fade to Black

A Poem by What happened to simple old me?

She hears delicate, numb strings
plucked gently by fingers, while horse hair
draws out, the most magnificent sound
let her dance along with it.
let her unwind through a passage
where time is not on her hands any more.
starting to turn, to wander in the wrong direction
and over, she falls. to be caught. like such soldiers
who come to save her, brushing innocent locks
behind her ears, where nothing can be heard.
Unconscious they pull her back, to the dance
stepping small and fast, strict movements
harsh and beautiful
up close and tight, to her chest,
while eye-lines meet forever's end.

'Death was just a simple glance across a dim lit room And those eyes did it Those three words did it Those three words killed him And I surrender to it all Between you and me, I surrender to you .. more..
