Peaceful Insomnia

Peaceful Insomnia

A Poem by What happened to simple old me?
"

There aren't many times in the day I hear complete silence. Not where I live, not where I am. So right now, I'm adoring this silence, soft harmonising music of my choice, clear air, silence at night.

"
delightful tales play on to precision
of liquid letters as notes on fine threads,
pine paper head to tail in ink spilt out,
perfectly controlled hand-held fountains
springing out supernatural movements
dancing round in my head over and
over again, and again they play.
short paces defiantly trailed from steps
to ear in evening lighting from artificial
timing when it should be not.
While sunrise blossoms out accompanied
by flourishing greens, lily purple-pink
overly sweet pigment yellowed not
quite meeting the shine aspired to,
sleep takes over my overran mind
from upside down spinning,
tiresome strains of old-wishing
the spinner, her magic could put
every single time, myself in deep sleep.

I use to call this sentence sleep, I'd dream in sentences, although I doubt I was asleep at all. I enjoyed this, your words coiled and danced and even though I read straight line by line I felt the movement of each one

'Death was just a simple glance across a dim lit room And those eyes did it Those three words did it Those three words killed him And I surrender to it all Between you and me, I surrender to you .. more..
