A Poem by What happened to simple old me?
"

However much you listen, the recording is the same, the story is final, nothing is new.

"
We read quotes, and daily we sigh
to ourselves as we attempt to meet
the perfection expectations they put on us
and all fall, we never get there,
though eventually as we think,
we try.

Following, there's love.
Most love you see turns,
hate replaces all the fire
from warm heaven to hell
the remorse shoots up,
from the roots of hope.

You finally thought you'd found it, no?
We took the time to look, to try.
why, when we're back here again?
Time goes on and still they seek,
seeking still for the inevitable
less unsure than last time
though more expectant
-
In failure we do not fall.

About
'Death was just a simple glance across a dim lit room And those eyes did it Those three words did it Those three words killed him And I surrender to it all Between you and me, I surrender to you .. more..
