A Poem by What happened to simple old me?
"

Why do you have to leave?

"
Trail me round this garden, your hands entwined in mine. Lead me where you want me, for all I am is yours, tonight.
Don't throw me as you have done, or tread me down, for the ground is hard this time of night, protect me.
Be my surround and whisper tales in my ears, so only I can hear the words you speak so, softly.
Hurry as you take my hand once again, this last time. Never ending in this moment -soon crashing down, as it does - an anchor in the ocean, cold at rest tonight.
Portray this image to me over, and over never have I seen this before,
what you give to me tonight.
Darling sings sweetly as do the birds, float gently down as feathers, are landing in your hair, stroked back in a sudden rush. I pray for silence just this once, and rest my forehead in the only place, position it feels right.
You hear my sigh, non withheld this time, for on it goes and faster with the days until I can't reach.
Don't allow it to chime once more, don't allow what fate has begun, to end.
And daily as thoughts become renewed, I'll spy through the bird cage, iron bars
that trap me inside until beaks peck me out, I cannot change anything as I wish
though wishing is for angel children, never knowing what is ahead.
Would you spare me a dandelion, in this heat. For never have I before known
you, tonight.

About
'Death was just a simple glance across a dim lit room And those eyes did it Those three words did it Those three words killed him And I surrender to it all Between you and me, I surrender to you .. more..
