Shadows

Shadows

A Poem by What happened to simple old me?

You reach the brittle bones I hide, white, snapping under the pressure
Slowly breaking down, further.
fix them for me; wind softly, back together with a web, gently trail the string around my hand, caress it sweetly with your kisses... only yours,
You make me dream of pure innocence, the sort of honestly I'll only ever know with you by my side. The quiet romance, of an English summer garden rose - where thorns are enclosed within the crisp. lemon green stem. and as you brush her hair through just one-hundred times, as her mother would have done, though with your softest touch, trailing the tips of your fingers through and through, she watches the sky, roll perfectly by and over, in this serene scene; serenity.
