Trailing rapture

Trailing rapture

A Poem by What happened to simple old me?

Walk, you walk with me
Not for long as I'd like this night, it's only day
When I looked up, the surrealism hit me.

What am I trying to cast over your life?
I smirk on the inside, though it shows through,
even when I struggle, even though the plains stay on,
they are the emptiness I feel, though I'd walk them any day.

Try to let go, throwing yourself at it.
There's that thing stopping, stuttering as I shake to grief. Again.
And the ribbon wrapped around my wrist, even it comes undone
to fit my personality. It lives in me, over me, on me.

This consuming, victorious race that beats my life.
But as I sit in the dark, the beautiful place that I absorb - I'm smiling.

Author's Note

What happened to simple old me?
Basically I'm stuck in my past, the person walking is a person trying to help me through it all. Um and although I want rid of all the feelings I hold on, and I don't know whether this is on purpose?
So here you have a blur or my thoughts... enjoy? =)

'Death was just a simple glance across a dim lit room And those eyes did it Those three words did it Those three words killed him And I surrender to it all Between you and me, I surrender to you .. more..
