A Poem by Emily Irene.
"

December 2008.

"

I was going to write you a love song,
but darling,
I don't think it would do any good.
You need some therapy,
and I need a friend who's true.
I guess it all comes down to the fact that
I unlocked all the doors
but I couldn't unlock you.

There are some things i like a lot about this poem but overall I don't think it's as strong as it could be. The last three lines I like a lot and I like the first line but i keep thinking about that song which is no fault of yours but its probably a thing that a good amount of readers would think of. maybe. and it is simple and you do that very well and it works here again but when it is this short it makes the need for immaculate word choice and a good flow and I think that's some of what you need to work on here. Good work.

Oh, Emily, I really, really love this one. It's so simple, but deep at the same time. You are such an amazing writer.

I love your writing! It's so simple and compeling. slightly sad, to though.
