Jesus.

Jesus.

A Poem by Emily Irene.
"

November 2008.

"

You tell me to talk to Jesus,

but barring an epiphany,

I don't think I'll have much to say to him.

You tell me Jesus loves me, and you, too;

I don't think Jesus forgives you

but I do

I do,

I swear I do.

hey thanks for the review earlier today so I figured I'd return the favor. This was my favorite out of all the poems I read of yours so far, which was only a couple. I like the tone of the poem, and I actually like its brevity. I would even think about taking out the final line because while i like the repetition I think it maybe slightly too much. But besides that I really like how I get a sense of the characters in the poem in a limited space. Also I would change the "think i" to "think i'll". Anyway good work.
