Visions.

Visions.

A Poem by Emily Irene.
"

April 2007.

"

Visions run through my mind,

ones so close to a horrible reality.

Sketches of dreams I once had,

ones so confusing these days.

Are you gone for good?

Is this just one of those?

Is it a hellogoodbye?

Is it an everlasting love?

Or am I just another to you?

Just another failure to you?

Visions run through my mind,

ones so close to a horrible reality.

Sketches of dreams I once had,

ones so confusing these days.

Is life kicking

your a*s

now?

Or are you shining?

Maybe in a light,

one so bright,

I never saw you in?

Even in your golden moments,

dirt was underneath your edges,

dirt was underneath your skin.

YOU WERE BORN WITH DIRT BENEATH YOUR SOUL.

"dirt was underneath your skin"
my favorite line of the poem.
a nice attempt at answering many questions faced in a relationship.
