Stuck Tongue

Stuck Tongue

A Poem by Emily Irene.
"

November 2006.

"

I could call you,

yes, I could.

I could dial your number

the one up north.

It sits in my blue book over there,

on my old rickety desk.

But I fear if I called

I'd find that

oh my,

I've forgotten my words.

I have so much to say,

but "where to start?"

is the question.

I suppose somewhere between

"I love you"

and "goodbye"

would do just fine.
