Desiree.

Desiree.

A Poem by Emily Irene.
"

November 2006.

"

No,

my love for you

is no longer so bright.

Your pail of water,

mixed with bitter change,

put my candlelight love out

not so long ago.

But doll,

it lingers in the dark.

Oh God,

does it crawl in the dark.

It scratches at the door of my soul,

howling with a pain

you couldn't conceive of.

I'll put my weight against that door.

Yes,

yes,

I will.

I'll put my whole f*****g life against that door.

Yes,

yes,

I will.
