Heavenly High

Heavenly High

A Poem by Emily Irene.
"

October 2006.

"

The needle breaks the skin

as your devilish smile

dances across your face.

You wait for the rush,

for the glory of this push.

You're sitting in that dirty alley,

with bruises up and down your arms,

grasping at some type of high.

You got a high,

yes, you got a high.

Heaven's as high as you can get.
