Could You?

Could You?

A Poem by Emily Irene.
"

June 2006.

"

Could you look me in the eyes,

and tell me that I never mattered anyway?

Could you look me in the eyes,

and tell me that you really never loved me?

Could you look me in the eyes,

and tell me that you are really happy now?

Could you look me in the eyes,

and tell me that the drugs fill you like we used to?

Could you look me in the eyes,

and tell me you will live to see tomorrow?

Could you look me in the eyes,

and tell me I mean NOTHING to you?
