Baby, Darling, Honey

Baby, Darling, Honey

A Poem by Emily Irene.
"

Nightmare-inspired.

"

I've been having nightmares, baby,

so realist, so surrealistic,

inviting themselves into my home.

I fight them with all my strength

but I must admit, darling,

life has found its way to me

and honey,

it ain't pretty.

This is a really neat poem. It's amazing what nightmares can inspire sometimes, huh? And you put a sweet twist on it by using those terms of endearment. Like you are reaching out for a protector of sorts. Nice!
