Army of Lullabies V3.0

Army of Lullabies V3.0

A Poem by Emily Irene.
"

This is a poem I've been editing and adding onto for years, since I was just fifteen.

"
My mind races;
insomnia's got me by my soul.
I want to sleep
to dream of a life full of promise,
full of hope,
and full of love.
An eternally satisfying series of events
granted to me by fate.
Its going to take an army of lullabies,
ammunition of purity
to send me dreaming tonight.

Author's Note

Emily Irene.
Like I said, this has been a work in progress. I started with the last three lines but knew it needed far more. I finally have a version I'm happy with.
