![]() May Body TravelA Poem by Emily Irene.![]() About my aspiration to break out of the monotony of my life and do something I'm proud of.![]() I feel my bones creak, my heart beating too fast. There's that odd feeling on my cheeks, the tightness of skin after tears dry. I want to break out of my body, leave the broken and beat-up parts behind. I must carry my nerve-endings away, to a place my past can't find me.
