May Body TravelA Poem by Emily Irene.About my aspiration to break out of the monotony of my life and do something I'm proud of.I feel my bones creak, my heart beating too fast. There's that odd feeling on my cheeks, the tightness of skin after tears dry. I want to break out of my body, leave the broken and beat-up parts behind. I must carry my nerve-endings away, to a place my past can't find me.
